Tot Rock & Kid Rock Classes

Tot Rock and Kid Rock classes are offered at park districts, preschools, childcare centers, and fitness clubs in over 60 communities throughout the Chicagoland area. The class components are carefully crafted to introduce toddlers and preschoolers to the wonderful world of music, while encouraging a positive attitude and increasing self-confidence. Each class includes activities involving:

• Songs and rhymes
• Basic dance steps and movements
• Fine and gross motor skills and coordination
• Rhythm instruments and movement props
• Creative play
• Socialization
• Fun!

A variety of age-appropriate rhythm instruments and props are used including tambourines, maracas, rhythm sticks, ribbon wands, bean bags and much more! Instruments and music used in class are available in our Rock ‘n’ Kids Shop!

A new session of classes begins every January, February, April, June, September and November. Each major session has a unique overall theme, with each week representing one aspect of the theme. Examples of session themes include Rainbows Rock; Bugs, Birds and Beasts; Rhyme Time; On the Go; and Rock ‘n’ Roll Adventures! A new theme is presented each session! It’s fun and educational!

Classes are held once each week for 40 minutes and are divided into three to four age groups, depending on location:

• Tot Rock: For children 12 - 24 months, with parent participation.
  
  
• Kid Rock I: For children 20-36 months, with parent participation.
  
  
• Kid Rock II: For children 3 & 4 years old, without parent participation.
  
  
• Kid Rock III: For children 20 months to 5 years, with parent participation. This class is geared for siblings and older children not quite ready to separate from mom or dad.
